Meet Chef Ben

Chef Ben Mastracco

I grew up learning about food from my mom, a professional recipe developer and food stylist. Growing up in a fully stocked kitchen with every ingredient and cooking gadget imaginable, it was nearly impossible not to fall in love with cooking!

After earning a degree in Nutrition and Food Science in 2011, I started my career working as a culinary scientist at a large processed food company in San Francisco. It was there that I saw first hand how our food is processed, and it made me really rethink my approach to eating and cooking.

After years of studying different ingredients, learning about food from seed to harvest, and spending time in factories watching products being manufactured on a mass scale, I decided to leave the corporate world behind, and dedicate my life to real, fresh, wholesome food.

Since then I’ve won a number of awards as a recipe developer, led countless cooking classes, catered for high end clients, done live TV segments, and have had a ton of interesting and diverse experiences working as a chef.

It’s my absolute pleasure to nurture my clients, and bring them joy and ease through high quality, delicious food and interactive cooking classes.

My mission statement has and always will be “food should be fun” and I do everything I can to bring my community joy through food every single day!
